#5. New Version is HERE!
The new update is FINALLY here! N with it comes some great things that I've gone on to include with it!
I've recently done a BIG collaboration comprising of: 3 members of the Jamaica Game Developer Society, a radio personnel & 2 voice actors (with 1 being myself). It's this Audio Pack with Jamaican Creole thrown into the mix, a FREE version has also been listed inside the Resources Index here I have attached the promo so that you can have a look at it!:
I've put a lot of time and effort into this pack to not only be of benefit to all of you as beginners but to the wider world to introduce more diversity within game development and to also give back to the person's who contributed to the pack's release, so if you can afford to buy it, I'm sure not only me, but they too will appreciate the support.
The latest updates for the Book & it's simulation contains a total of:
- 8 Scripts including the one from the Unity Tips section which consist of:
- 2 Enemy AI scripts
- 1 Level Loader & Splash Screen Scene loader script
- 2 Player Controller Scripts
- 1 Script for Editor Autosaving
- 1 Camera Script
- A small collection of Terminologies that are used with programming for Game Dev and mentioned alot in the book, each of those words are in a green color throughout the document signifying you can always find out what it means if you aren't sure about that particular word.
- Not to mention the Resources Index which is a collection right here on Itch with over 30+ FREE Game Assets in premium rich quality that you can use with the scripts to make your game with the scripts be top notch for a beginner.
- The Unity Tips page which allows for you to learn some advanced tricks and mini workflow that even the pro's are astonished and have grown to love using in there own projects.
- It also has 2 questions featured in the FAQ Basic Knowledge page, which houses questions that beginners generally ask in regards to using Unity (more of them will be added in future updates), but I made sure to include 2 of the most likely asked questions for those that might use this book especially those in preparation for there exams (things can become a little forgetful under those conditions)
- A Table of Contents has also been added, and an even cooler feature with the Simulation is that you can touch a select few of the titles in it for the book to skip to that page (all of them will become linked in future updates)
Overall I'm really excited to see how person's will utilize what I've provided in the book and surrounding the book to good use, how you all will make it's contents aid your developments.
For those who will be sitting there CAPE Animation & Game Design Exam, I hope that this is going to aid you well. All the best in your exams! :)
Please NOTE
As a reminder as well, any major updates from this point on with the book will be paid versions, the free versions will still remain with some more context based information added to it such as the FAQ and Scripting Terminologies, so on that note do take care!
